Not official yet, BUT.... Tashina is talking about getting married in the Nauvoo Temple on 11 August 2006.

Not official because 1) he hasn't talked to me yet (LIKE THAT MATTERS) and 2) he wants to propose in Hawaii in May.

More to come later.....

Corky will be working for the Chicago transportation department. I think the name of the neighborhood they are looking at buying in is called Naperville??? Anyway they needed a bigger house and I guess this was the way to get it. Bigger salary and cheaper real estate.

Yes good times were had by all who went to St. Louis except for that poor IHOP waitress who had to bribe uncle Tim to stop crying that it was his birthday with an ice cream sundae almost as big as his head(notice how head was used and not ego). Hopefully Tim Mark has regained the feeling in his arm after dunking his cousins (baptisims for the deceased)100 plus times. Love peace and chicken grease!

Hay! Ben I have been laid off from One Source Automation & Technology since 1/6/06. I have been trying to make the bread, I hope. The job I have just started is with a buddy from there, he just got laid off too. So we are trying to start our own carpet & hardwood floors business. It`s not too bad! We have laid 3 hardwood & 4 carpets & made about $1000 in 6 days & that is fairly good. I just hope we can get more business so I do not have to go back & work for One Source.

Well, since my husband doesn't seem to ever let you all know what is going on, I guess I'll have to. James has been a full time student for the past two years and will obtain his Associates degree at the end of this Spring '06 quarter. He's still deciding weather or not to take summer quarter off before continuing towards his bachelor's. Something having to do with criminal justice, you'll have to ask him. He also works full time as a correctional officer at one of the state prisons. I figure saying where isn't a good idea when the whole world can see this stuff. Anyhow, his daughter Brianna is six now. Grandma Connie and Grandpa Robert came up for the birthday party in Oct. '05. Brianna started kindergarten in September. She's a spitfire and just as sarcastic and sly as her daddy. I'm so looking forward to the teen years. Our son Matthew is in 6th grade. His football team was undefeated and took the district championship. We just had the final basketball game 2 days ago, which they won, so they are also district champs for that too. Baseball starts soon, which is his sport, he is very gifted at catching. Brianna is signed up for T-ball, which she can't wait to do, having grown up watching her brother playing ball every year. I'm busy juggling my seasonal job as a tax preparer, home life and getting ready to coach the baseball team for the last year before they are in jr. high. Mom showed us the video from last years reunion while they were here, so I was finally able to put some faces to all these names. Anyhow, this is probably way longer than it needed to be, but that's me. Amanda, John, Mom, Robert, Jennifer, Rich we love you all. Mom, give our love to Vonda, Josh, Justin and all the kids. Love, Jennifer 02.27.06

There are several ways to enjoy the stick pretzels if you dont want to play "stick your tongue thru the loops" with the twisty pretzels. Aunt Donna claims dipping pretzels in mustard is the only way to eat any pretzel. This brings to mind that a ranch dip may also be tasty. If you ask, perhaps Aunt Cathy has some sort of chicken dip, and I am sure Aunt Louie would say the only way to make her day would be pretzels covered in chocolate. Now having said all that, Grandma wants to know, do you buy them in a bag, or do look buy them in a box. do you eat them with shoes on or only wearing socks. Personally, either is just fine, and an end must come to this little rhyme. So let me say, just go buy some and choose for yourself. As for me, I rub the salt off and eat the entire bag myself...HA ! How else am I to keep up this girlish figure??????

David,

The problem with posting any contact information online (Phones, emails etc.) is that there are computers that search the internet and "grab" all that information and put it into databases that they sell to spammers and telemarketers.

What would be a good idea is to have a place online where you can SEND IN any updated contact information to me (and/or DeRees - whomever) and we can keep the master file up-to-date that way. We could also set it up where a copy could be requested via the website, and DeRees (or I) could verify that the person requesting the list is a legitimate family member before sending it out to them via fax, email, mail... Whatever they want.

What do you think about that?

I thought I would post something a friend sent me.

Another year gone and we are still Single
I'm gonna pop open a can and have me a Pringle
It all just means no planning or Gifts
No fake smiles and stupid Rifts
Go out and spend the money on you
Get yourself a dog or maybe a Cockatoo
Forget the red, the white, and especially the Pink
The Roses, The Tulips and the specialty Ink
So let another Valentine's go By
Dry your Eye, there is no need to Cry
Just look at your Account balance and give a smile
Because it has not been that high for quite a while
Stand up and shout Hooray, Hooray
I'm sure glad I'm Single,
Happy Single Awareness Day!

Marriage! What! Not before the eldest! it just can't happen again! my fragile pshyche just can't take the blow of another younger sibling taking the plunge before me (or perhaps i can, and i just want to make a scene). and the youngest in the family. jeeesh! little brothers have no respect for their older wiser and bigger brother. perhaps one day (sigh) i will be writting of how i met this wonderful (sniffle) young (ahem! reality check)delightful spirit just meant for me (oh boy, where's the shovel). I will wistfully (ahhhh)dream the day away thinking of her and NOT WRITTING SILLY POSTS IN THIS GUESTBOOK!

although i learned on my mission that the Jahovah Witnesses believe in 144,000 unmarried men making it to heaven. I think i will convert! i am half way there baby!

Well like always, the mom is the last to know.......I'll be looking fwd to checking in to see when the wedding will be as well. I do have first hand knowledge that Karrin will be transferring to Arizona as soon as this school year ends. She will be in the Mesa area. She will be taking my place at spoiling "Michael" for me. Richard is now in his own home in Cedar City so make sure you know where he is before you 'drop in'. I don't have an address either- Mom being the last to know. I just go to the store and ask for him.
Y'all let me know if/when you hear the bells will be tolling for Brad.....Let's hear from all y'all anyway....Love y'all

I'm just waiting on a job that will allow me to support her and a hopeful future family as well as if i wanna do it right (which i do) i am working on becoming temple worthy at the moment. Now that i know there is a demand to know the details of my personal life i will keep you all up to date with any new information. Love you all. Thanks for the support.

We are looking forward to the next family reunion of which Corky is completely in charge of.
Nathan and Tiffany blessed their baby Bentley James today in Sacrament meeting in their ward. Uncle DeRees and Aunt Dolores were there as well as Charlotte and Brett, Donna and her boys, Karrin, Brad and Brad s fiancée, Amy s husband Craig and my family and I. There may have been some others as well. I have already forgotten if there were. (Well, Tiffany s family were there too, of course.
Amy and Craig will be moving to Utah as soon as they get their home sold in California. Craig is staying with us right now while Amy sells the house. He has already started his new job teaching Spanish at a Junior High here in Salt Lake. We are all still looking forward to the day when Uncle David moves to town.
We heard some good news from Tim Jr. via Donna today. If you don t know the news already, you will have to bug Tim to fill in the details in his family report. Let s just say we are excited for him and his family.
We are still here working on our basement when time permits. We are almost done. Just trim, some more paint and then carpet can go in. We are working on the bathroom right now. It will be nice to have another one. We ran out of money so we won t be doing carpet until we save up the funds. In the meantime we have thrown some remnants down and are taking advantage of having some more space in the garage and our rooms. (We had to move everything out of the basement for construction )
I m working on getting all the Standard Works read again this year. So far I have finished the Pearl of Great Price and am now in Genesis 22. I ve got a chart I m using and hopefully I can get it all filled in before the end of the year.
Write in and tell us what s up. This is a good opportunity to let everybody know what is going on. If you would like to recommend (or need) a family fast, you can also let us know so that there are more of us fasting and praying for you.
Grandma sends her love to each of you.
Make sure you send me your email address if you are planning on changing it and send in the email addresses of other family members if you know they have a new address or are getting onto email for the first time.
We ll see you soon enough.

Ben,
I think it would be fun to suggest that on a certain date each month that everyone write into the clarkark site and just do a newsletter so that we keep up with each other. I liked it when we did that before and realize it was a lot of work for one person to do. But if families would take the time to do it....it would be fun. How can we get the word out to do this???

I did finally go to the clark web site. I am taking some slides to the store to get some prints made off. I'll send then when I get them back. I could probably send by way of slides if I knew how to use my scanner etc. Jim is home today, maybe I'll have him show me when he wakes up......if I haven't already taken them to get the prints done. There are somepretty good pictures.....I should just scan them all in and send all of them.....I'll see. How are all y'all doing? I think we need to start a campaign for people to wake up and start writing in to the site again. The pictures of Nathan and Tiffany's baby are adoreable......
Love ya, tia juana

To one and all:

Thanks for a great time! Well organized, great company, love the shirts, wish my car had had AC.

Really enjoyed the time we descended upon the church in Cartersville and the Etowah Indian mounds. Tim if you can hear me raise your hands.....

This is certainly a highlight of my year each time we get together. Popcicle anyone? I really wanted to be a "mafia" or even a "detective" but since Brad was stacking the deck I knew it wouldn't happen.

Once upon a time, The three little girls, Louie, Connie and Cathy, were sitting in a car parked in front of Beenies house with some friends who just happened to be boys. They were from Wabash Indiana. On goes the light on the front porch and out steps Momma Lou holding what appears to be a shotgun. She starts a hollering that "if you girls ain't out of that car in 1 minute I am gonna start shooting". Those boys who were just friends, shoved us out the car onto the ground and were gone. As we walked towards the porch Momma Lou was laughing and slapping her leg. She had David's BB rifle and could not get over how fast those friends who happened to be boys got out of there.
